KDF DONATES MEDICAL EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES TO SABRH

November 2021 - KDF makes 2nd Donation to the St. Ann's Bay Regional Hospital - On November 8, 2021, the Karen Dale Foundation completed its 2nd handover of donations to the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital (SABRH) in St. Ann, Jamaica. This donation included Infusion Pumps, Pulse Oximeters, Bone Curettes, and Adult Blood Pressure Cuffs, valued at over $866,000 JMD (just under $6,000 USD).

The donation was received by SABRH CEO, Mr. Dennis Morgan and Senior Medical Officer, Dr. Tanya Hamilton-Johnson.

KDF was represented by Mrs. Ivy Ridley, one of our ambassadors, located in Jamaica.

Representatives from our vendor partner, Medco Medical Supplies Limited, were also present and they also contributed an IV Stand which is needed for the Infusion Pumps.

The items that we donated were selected from a list of needed resources provided by the hospital. SABRH is a Type B hospital, currently with three hundred and eight (308) beds, providing health care services to a population of approximately 360,000 persons. It is an accredited training facility for interns and the Regional Hospital for the North East Regional Health Authority (NERHA), one of the four regional health authorities on the island of Jamaica.

To date, under our signature program, The Caribbean Healthcare (CariHealth) Initiative, and our CariHealth Jamaica Project, we have made donations valued at over $1.1 million Jamaican Dollars to the SABRH, and our goal is to continue to provide support based on their needs.

Help us continue to make a difference.
