KDF-CICA SCHOLARSHIP PARTNERSHIP 2023

May 2023 – The Karen Dale Foundation has once again partnered with the Caribbean International Cultural Association (CICA), to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the Charlotte, NC area, who are of Caribbean descent, and plan on pursuing undergraduate degrees full-time. CICA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the Charlotte, NC area.

From the Class of 2023, CICA selected 7 students for scholarship awards – Anya Huggins, Clairmel Hjardemaal, Laylah Eckstine, Leila Genece, Taylor McGlashing, Destiny Gibbons, and Tayna Braithwaite.

Through our Education and Literacy program, our selection criteria also require that these students pursue a degree in the Health Care, Medical, or related fields. Based on this requirement, the Karen Dale Foundation selected the following students for our 2023 KDF-CICA Scholarship Awards:

The Karen Dale Foundation wishes the KDF-CICA Scholars much success. As they expand their knowledge in their chosen fields of study, we challenge them to find ways to utilize what they have learned to help make a difference in the health care and medical community in the Caribbean, especially the Island of their heritage.

We encourage all the Scholars to reach out to the organizations that support them and find ways of giving back and helping the organizations advance their vision and mission.
