Anthony Roberts is a Platform Lead for Technology Architecture and Engineering at Wells Fargo, NA.

He began his IT career as a software developer for a Bio Pharma Company in CA in 2005.  In 2007, he transitioned into a dedicated Oracle based role at Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, MO.  Moving to Charlotte, NC in 2008, he joined a boutique consulting firm Analytic Vision (Oracle partner) – later acquired by Sierra Cedar. It was there he honed his skills in development, training, and client documentation as a Senior Consultant in the Data Warehouse and BI practice. In 2017, after some interest in platform infrastructure, Anthony made a career change by joining Wells Fargo, as an Application Administrator. Eventually he moved into a Lead Platform role for the dedicated Oracle application. Anthony is now leading both on-prem and cloud-enabled platforms for Oracle and Microsoft products for his team, as well as leading the automation of Business Continuity Planning for multiple groups.

 

Having valued the importance of good project / product management to a successful project, he fine-tuned those skills by earning his Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2023 and multiple Scrum Agile Product Management certifications in 2024.

 

Anthony was a Treasurer of the Saturday Morning Toastmasters in Charlotte, NC for several years.

 

He holds a bachelor’s degree, majoring in Management Information Systems and minoring in Spanish, and an MBA from the University of West Georgia. 

 

Fun Facts: 

Anthony loves traveling and spending time with family. He likes mixing up his workout activities throughout the year, reading, following Formula1 and NBA, and refreshing his Spanish skills with his kids. He and his family reside in the Charlotte, NC area.
