KDF DONATES MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO SABRH
May 2020 - KDF's St. Ann's Bay Regional Hospital COVID-19 Response Project - On Wednesday, May 6th, 2020, under our signature program, The Caribbean Healthcare (CariHealth) Initiative and our CariHealth Jamaica Project, the Karen Dale Foundation (KDF), in our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, made a donation of much needed medical supplies to the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital (SABRH) in St. Ann, Jamaica, valued at over $305,000.00 Jamaican Dollars (JMD). The donation included 130 Digital Thermometers, 200 KN95 Masks, 150 Surgical Masks, and 2500 pairs of Examination Gloves, sourced locally through Medco Medical Supplies, Ltd in St. Catherine, Jamaica.

Due to the pandemic, we could not travel to Jamaica, so we connected with the Rotary Club of Ocho Rios and under the leadership of their President, Anne-Marie Bishop, the Club agreed to partner with us to facilitate the procurement of the supplies and complete the handover to the hospital. THANK YOU to Ms. Bishop and the members of the Rotary Club of Ocho Rios (RCOR) for their willingness to partner with us on this project. We could not have accomplished this without you.

The handover to the hospital was also feature in The Gleaner, a daily newspaper in Jamaica.
